OUR GRATITUDE

We raise our children with the hope that they can hold onto the joy they came into the world with, but the forces of nature force them into sometimes, impossible mind sets.  Many parents see this when their children start self-medicating and the easiest substance for them to get a hold of, that gets a hold on them…is alcohol.

I am a parent of two alcoholic men, both now in recovery, and I attest to the fact that although they were forced to get there, (one usually is) the answer to their recovery is how they think about things as they go through the process.  Help them to find their way, help them find the right mind set, support them, love them but never…enable their behavior. 

It is the hardest thing in the world, as a parent, is to have to use (tough love) on one’s child, but it is what it is..LOVE but it’s TOUGH.

Never give up on your child, believe, give love, and support, but never…enable their behavior.  BE LOVE TOUGH.
